The Zoning Board of Adjustment’s primary function is to grant or deny relief to homeowners, businesses, and other developers from the strict application of the Township Zoning Ordinance. The Board is authorized to hear and decide appeals of any order, requirement, decision or refusal involving the enforcement of Town zoning ordinances, as well as hearing and deciding requests for interpretation of the zoning map or zoning ordinances for residents and developers.

The Board of Adjustment meetings shall be held at Secaucus Town Hall, Chambers II, 1203 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ. Unless the Board determines otherwise, the meetings will start at 7:00 p.m. Formal Action may be taken at any meeting and are open to the Public in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act.
The Board of Adjustment is hereby established pursuant of NJSA 40:55-69 et seq. consisting of seven (7) members and two (2) alternates who shall be residents of the Town of Secaucus appointed by the governing body. Regular member terms are four (4) years and alternative member terms are two (2) years.
